One of the signs of Christian maturity is if you have train and you’re in control of your tongue. There are other signs of maturity, when you become a mature believer you are to begin to be a father and a mentor to others in the faith. However, when you are mature, you will always need to grow and mature more. Apart of the purposes upon my life is to aid Christians to grow and mature, a call to maturity has gone throughout the body of Christ, it is time to mature. –(1 Cor. 12:11)

We are to promote health, life, peace, love, truth, unity, wisdom, revelation, and praise, prophecy with our tongues. You have the power of life and death, you are to speak life, you have power to bless and to curse, and you are to speak blessings. You will eat the fruits of your lips. –(Prov. 12:18, 13:2, 15:2, 4, 18:21)

Christians are not to dwell in gossip, we are not to speak lies, and we are not to speak about the weakness of our brothers, yes there is prayerful information, and a time to be informed, but this is to the right people. You must control what you say, and don’t walk in gossip. –(Prov. 18:8, 20:19,11:13, 16:28, Psa. 52:2, Prov. 25:23, Psa. 34:13, Prov. 26:20-22)

Keep your tongue you division, and strife you can see where there are churches within a city, when pastors are mislead and believers to speak division and strife against one another, you must be wise and to avoid this unfruitfulness of darkness, and don’t keep fellowship with such people, Christians are to love one another, pray for one another, and care for one another, and seek peace and unity among one another. –(1 Cor. 3:3)

There is the voice of the accuser and the voice of the intercessor; what voice are you hearing, what voice are you agreeing with, more you agree with the voice of the accuser the more he will hear him. –(Rev. 12:10)

Do not dwell in complaining and disputing, watch your words, control your tongue, if you walk in such a path, you open the to door to demons. There is a connection between this path and the spirit of division. If you walk upon this path for a certain among of time you can open your life to the spirit of division. In addition your tongue can be use to dative faith in others, complaining and disputing is a form of unbelief. –(Phil. 2:14)

If you go around judging and speaking Christian curses you may be a modern day Christian witch, you may be walking in a form of witchcraft, not only you use your tongue to work witchcraft you also pray false judgment and witchcraft over your brothers and sisters in Christ. –(Gal. 5:15, 26)

Do you have a religious spirit? Do you go around speaking evil against those who teach and preaches the Word, do speak against things you don’t understand this too is a work of the devil. Stop throwing rocks with your words against apostles and prophets. –(1 Thess. 5:12-13)

The beginning of sin is pride in your heart the beginning of releasing of sin is through your tongue, if you control your tongue you will stay away from most of the sins that you commit in the past. –(Prov. 14:3)

There are some sins called the sins against the Holy Spirit, most of the sins against the Holy Spirit are committed through your tongue, where you see churches attacking the anointing, speaking against that which was done by the Holy Spirit and calling it evil or of demons, or where you see churches that sin in their tongue against the Holy Spirit, there will be no Holy Spirit manifestation in there churches. –(Eph. 4:25-32)

Are you a person of prayer? When you pray in faith you are to remain in praise throughout your day beyond your time of prayer, you can’t pray faith then speak unbelief and expect for your prayer life to be successful. –(Phil. 4:4-8,1 Thess. 5:16-19)

How to control your tongue? –(Jam. 3:1-18)

1. Ask the Lord to set a watch over your tongue.
2. Pray for the Holy Spirit fire to rest upon your tongue.
3. Confess the Word more.
4. Learn to praise the Lord more.
5. Pray in the Holy Spirit more.
6. Cast out demons that misuse your tongue.
7. Repent to the Lord, and repent to the Holy Spirit, when you misused your tongue.
8. Ask those whom you hurt with your tongue forgiveness.
9. Pray for all those who you speak evil of, break any curse that you speak from your tongue against another.
10. Learn every time, when you want to speak wrong things with your month speak the right things, when you want to speak evil of your brother or sister, speak good instead, and pray for them not against them.
